Job description
We seek a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our team at MAGAS Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, compliance, audits, and strategic financial planning. They will play a key role in ensuring the company’s financial health and regulatory compliance while contributing to decision-making at a strategic level.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Manage direct and indirect tax filings, including GST, and corporate tax.
- Ensure timely compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Handle tax audits and assessments with relevant authorities.
- Coordinate statutory and internal audits, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Assist in the formulation of business strategies and financial models.
- Evaluate cost-saving initiatives and revenue optimization strategies.
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial support for business initiatives.
- Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and external consultants as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and standards.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 0-2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Expertise in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong knowledge of taxation laws, financial reporting standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with handling audits, preparing financial models, and budgeting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in startups or SMEs is an added advantage.
